Day 1 - Arrival to Oslo

Individual arrival to the Hotel Continental, Norway's only member of "The Leading Hotels of the World", situated in the heart of Oslo. Hotel Continental has been a family enterprise for four generations and it is over 100 years old. Spend 2 nights in Oslo

Gourmet dinner in Oslo

In the evening we have included the excellent 5 course gourmet dinner at the Restaurant Eik Annen Etage, located in the hotel building.
In the hotel building you will also find the well known Theatercaféen; one of the few Vienna-style restaurants still flourishing in Europe, and Oslo's most famous meeting place.

Day 2 - Oslo at leisure

Enjoy a full day to explore Oslo, with highlights such as the Viking ship Museum, the Edvard Munch Museum and the Vigeland Sculpture Park. - Your hotel is ideally located one block from the main Karl Johan street and 2 blocks from the Aker Brygge wharf and the Oslo City Hall

Iconic architecture in Oslo

Make sure to see the spectacular Opera House, designed by the Norwegian architects "Snohetta" (opened in 2008) & the amazing Astrup Fearnly Museum of contemporary Art, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano (opened in 2012)

Day 3 - Train Oslo-Bergen

Morning train across the scenic Hardangervidda mountain plateau & National Park, with Finse station at an altitude of 1222 ms above sea level. Snow covered during the winter season. Individual check in at the centrally located Neptun Hotel (4*). Spend 2 nights in Bergen

Gourmet dinner at Lucullus

The Neptun Hotel hosts the Lucullus gourmet restaurant, considered to be one of the best in Bergen. You will be served their excellent 5 course gourmet dinner in the evening.

In the hotel building you will also find the casual restaurant Pascal, also with excellent food

Day 4 - Bergen at leisure

Full day to explore the sights of Bergen - visit the Fish Market, the old Bryggen wharf (on the UNESCO World Heritage list), the Funicular to mount Floyen offering you a marvelous view of the city and surrounding islands

Make sure to visit the authentic areas with tiny, wooden houses & narrow streets at the Nordnes peninsula & at the hillside around the Funicular station

Day 5 - Bergen-Oslo

Enjoy "The Norway in a Nutshell" combination tour: with morning train to Voss, then connecting bus to Gudvangen for a spectacular 2 hour Fjord cruise on  the narrow Naeroyfjord, now included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, continuing on the scenic Aurlandsfjord. Disembark in Flam.

 

Enjoy the spectacular ride on the Flam Railway- taking you from sea level via hairpin bends through the Flam valley with cascading waterfalls and mountain peaks. Change trains at Myrdal, with connecting train to Oslo. Spend 1 night in Oslo at the centrally located Hotel Continental.
