Kirkenes-Bergen 5 days Hurtigruten Arctic cruise

Enjoy an unforgettable cruise on one of the authentic Hurtigruten ships along the spectacular Norwegian coast, with Arctic highlights such as the narrow Raftsund strait, the dramatic Trollfjord, the Lofoten Islands & the beautiful Helgeland coast. Duration 5 nights.

Day 1 - Kirkenes-Finnmark coast

Board the Hurtigruten ship before noon, then cruise to Vardo, Norway's easternmost town, with the enchanting Vardohus Fortress. Time to go ashore. Cruise along the Varanger peninsula before a late evening arrival at Batsfjord.

Day 2 - Mehamn-Tromso

Cruise via Hammerfest, across Soroysund to Oksfjord. The course is set via Lopphavet open sea and the ship finds quiet waters towards Skjervoy island and the Arctic town of Tromso towards midnight.

Day 3 - Tromso-Lofoten Islands

Through the amazing, narrow Risoyrenna channel after leaving Harstad & Stokmarknes with the Hurtigruten Museum, then on to Vesteralen and the spectacular Lofoten islands

Day 4 - Helgeland coast

Make sure to get up early for the call at the tiny village of Ornes, surrounded by a spectacular mountain scenery, with views of the Svartisen glacier.

After the call at Bronnoysund the ship passes the Torghatten mountain peak,  with the spectacular hole - one of Nature's wonders

Day 5 - Trondheim-Alesund

The island of Munkholmen leads the way to the historic town of Trondheim, with picturesque areas of tiny, wooden houses (Bakklandet) and Norway's only cathedral. Then passing the beautiful island of Hitra and the open sea of Hustadvika before approaching the city of Molde. Optional sightseeing in Trondheim

Day 6 - Alesund-Bergen

Magnificent West Norway scenery, with mouths of fjords and a lush, beautiful archipelago, including the island kingdom of Oygarden, before the ship approaches Bergen. Arrival at 14:30
