Cruise Arctic Coast & North Cape - 7 days

Cruise package with an amazing 4 nights cruise on one of the authentic Hurtigruten ships. The trip starts with an overnight stay in Oslo, then a scenic train trip across the Dovre mountain plateau to the historic town of Trondheim, where you board the ship the next day. Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo. Check in at the centrally located elegant Bristol hotel.

Day 2 - Train Oslo-Trondheim

Enjoy the scenic Dovre line across the Dovrefjell Mountain Plateau (app. 7.5 hours) to the historic city of Trondheim. Check in at the centrally located 4* Rica Nidelven Hotel or similar. Spend 1 night in Trondheim

Day 3 - Cruise departure

Spend the morning at leisure in Trondheim, with the Nidelven river, the Nidaros Cathedral and the authentic areas with tiny, wooden houses.

 

Board the authentic Hurtigruten ship before noon and enjoy the spectacular Arctic Norway cruise to Kirkenes. Spend 4 nights onboard

Day 4 - Bodo & Lofoten Islands

Crossing the Arctic circle, with arrival to Bodo at noon. Time to visit the town, surrounded by dramatic Arctic scenery. Then crossing the Vest Fjord heading towards the magnificent, sheer Lofot Wall and the Lofoten Islands. Calls at Stamsund & Svolvaer

Day 5 - Cruise & Tromso

Into a magnificent Arctic archipelago before the cruise arrival to Tromso at 14:30. Spend a few hours exploring the Arctic Capital of Norway, or enjoy the optional city sightseeing.

Day 6 - North Cape excursion

Enjoy the exotic North Cape land excursion from the main port Honningsvag, then cruise along Finnmark's barren coast, passing the Svaerholdtklubben Bird Colony and the unbelievable rock formation of Finnkjerkja.

Day 7 - Flight Kirkenes-Oslo

Around the north and east coast of the barren Finnmark coast before the ship continues to the south-east into the Bokfjord and on to Kirkenes. Disembark after brakfast, then flight to Oslo. Spend 1 night in Oslo at the Bristol hotel (or similar), or an airport hotel at your choice

Iconic architecture in Oslo:

The Oslo Opera House, designed by the Norwegian Architects at "Snohetta", opened in 2008. Located in the Bjorvika waterfront, near the Oslo Central station.
