Arctic Coast, North Cape & Tromso - 5 nights

This short cruise package offers you two of the main highlights of Arctic Norway; the beautifully located Arctic town of Tromso & the spectacular North Cape cliff.
You will start with a stay in Oslo, then flight to Tromso for one night and an amazing Arctic gourmet dinner, followed by a 2 nights Hurtigruten cruise along the spectacular Arctic coast with excursion to the North Cape. The cruise finishes in Kirkenes, close to the Russian border, followed by flight to Oslo.
You can add an exciting King crab safari & additional night in Kirkenes.

Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo. Check in at a centrally located 4* hotel. Oslo is beautifully located by the Oslo fjord, offering extensive pedestrian areas along the waterfront as well as iconic modern buildings, like the Opera house & the Astrup Fearnley museum of modern art.

Day 2 - Flight Oslo-Tromso

A 2 hour flight takes you to the beautifully located Arctic town of Tromso, surrounded by Alpine mountain peaks, islands & fjords. Individual arrival to a centrally located hotel.

Tromso is the worlds northernmost University town.

Arctic gourmet dinner

In the evening we have booked a table at the tiny Emma's restaurant, centrally located close to the wooden Tromso cathedral.

Day 3 - Tromso 

Spend the morning at leisure in Tromso, with sights such as the iconic Ishavskatedralen church & the interesting Polar museum & Polaria. Enjoy a walk along the waterfront, take the cable car to the top of the mountain offering a marvellous view of the town & surrounding areas.

Arctic cruise departure 

Board the authentic Hurtigruten ship in the early evening and enjoy the spectacular cruise along the Arctic coast to Kirkenes - close to the Russian border.

Day 4 North Cape excursion

Enjoy the exotic North Cape land excursion from the main port Honningsvag, then cruise along Finnmark's barren coast, passing the Svaerholdtklubben Bird Colony and the unbelievable rock formation of Finnkjerkja.

Day 5 Flight Kirkenes-Oslo

Around the north and east coast of the barren Finnmark coast before the ship continues to the south-east into the Bokfjord and on to Kirkenes. Disembark after breakfast, then flight to Oslo. Spend 1 night in Oslo at a centrally located 4* hotel, or an airport hotel at your choice

Iconic architecture in Oslo:

The Oslo Opera House, designed by the Norwegian Architects at "Snohetta", opened in 2008. Located in the Bjorvika waterfront, near the Oslo Central station.
The Astrup Fearnley Museum of contemporary art, an architectural masterpiece designed by the Italian Renzo Piano, opened in September 2012. Located at Tjuvholmen waterfront
