The Bergen-Kirkenes-Oslo Cruise package, 10 nights

With the scenic Geirangerfjord (June-August), the amazing Lofoten Islands, the spectacular Arctic coast with tiny fishing settlements & Arctic towns. Overnight stays in the picturesque coastal town of Bergen & Oslo, Norway's capital.   

Optional: You can add exciting land excursions en route, such as RIB-safari to the amazing Saltstraumen maelstrom in Bodo, excursion to the North Cape cliff, Viking Feast at Lofoten Islands, sightseeing trips in historic Trondheim and the Arctic town of Tromso.

Day 1 - Arrival to Bergen

Spend 2 nights in Bergen. Individual arrival and check in at a centrally located 4* hotel.

 

Some sights in Bergen: The UNESCO Bryggen wharf, The Funicular to mount Floyen, the composer Edvard Grieg's home, Fantoft Stave Church, areas with tiny wooden houses.

Day 2 - Bergen

Full day at leisure in Bergen. 

We recommend a visit to the authentic areas with tiny, wooden houses at Nordnes peninsula & behind the Funicular station
Optional:  you can add a scenic day excursion to the Sognefjord & the Flam Railway, or to the beautiful Hardangerfjord.

Day 3 - Evening cruise departure

Time to enjoy the charming Hanseatic town before the transfer bus brings you to the authentic Hurtigruten ship in the afternoon, with evening meal onboard before the cruise departure

 

Spend 6 nights onboard: Outside cabin (category N) & all meals included (Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch & 3 course dinner)

Day 4 - Alesund-Geirangerfjord*

Morning arrival to the Art Nouveau town of Alesund. 

April - May: 3 hours at leisure in Alesund.

June - August*: you can enjoy a full day cruise to the famous Geirangerfjord, with the beautiful "Seven Sisters" waterfall.

Tours from Aug 30 with a full day cruise to Hjorundfjord.
Optional: You can add an amazing excursion across the "Golden Route" with the breathtaking Trollstigen hairpin road (June-August)

Bakklandet Trondheim, Frithjof Fure/Hurtigruten

Day 5 - Trondheim-Rorvik

Sailing on the wide Trondheim fjord to the picturesque, historic city of Trondheim. Spend a few hours at leisure in the city or join one of the optional land excursions.

 

Some sights: Nidaros Cathedral, the old Bybrua bridge, the Erkebispegaard, Ringve Museum of Music history, the open air museum & the authentic areas with old, wooden houses

Day 6 - Bodo-Lofoten Islands

Cross the Arctic Circle to Bodo, beautifully located surrounded by mountain peaks, with a few hours to explore the city. Then cruise across the Vestfjord towards the impressive Lofot wall and  the breathtaking Lofoten Islands, with calls at the fishing villages of Stamsund & Svolvaer

Day 7 - Vesteralen Islands-Tromso

Into a magnificent archipelago to the north, then on to the Arctic town of Tromso, with the world's northernmost University.  You can add a City sightseeing in Tromso, including the iconic Arctic Cathedral and Polaria aquarium

Day 8 - Honningsvag-North Cape

Amazing Arctic coastal scenery. From the main port Honningsvag you can join the optional land excursion to the North Cape, then cruise along Finnmark's barren coast, passing the Svaerholdtklubben Bird Colony and the unbelievable rock formation of Finnkjerka

Day 9 - Flight Kirkenes-Oslo

Around the north and east coast of the barren Finnmark coast before the ship continues to the south-east to the Arctic town of Kirkenes, the ship's turning point, close to the Russian border. Flight to Oslo.

Day 10 - Oslo

Spend the day at leisure in Oslo or join one of the scheduled sightseeing tours, including a cruise on the scenic Oslo fjord.
