Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo. Overnight at an airport hotel or in the city centre at your choice.

 

The Airport Express train (Flytoget) takes 20 minutes between the airport and the centre of Oslo

Day 2 - Flight Oslo - Kirkenes

Morning flight to the Arctic town of Kirkenes, the "top of the world", located by the Barents sea close to the Russian border. Individual arrival to a centrally located hotel. Spend 1 night in Kirkenes

 

 

Wilderness Dog sledding

Hunting the Northern Lights - Time to explore the town before you will be picked up at your hotel for an adventurous 5 hour Northern Lights trip to the wilderness of the Pasvik valley, with Husky dog sledding & a wilderness evening meal served en route. Transfer to your hotel after the trip.

Snow hotel Kirkenes

Day 3 - Stay at the Snow Hotel

Enjoy an unforgettable overnight stay at the exotic Snow hotel in Kirkenes - a beautiful piece of architecture with ice sculptures, surrounded by live reindeers in the Reindeer Safari Park. You can also take part in the feeding of the reindeers.

 

Transfer from your hotel in Kirkenes, followed by a 3 course Arctic dinner in the exotic Gabba lavvo restaurant, overnight in warm sleeping bags, sauna in the morning & breakfast.

Day 4 - Flight Kirkenes-Tromso

Transfer to Kirkenes after breakfast at the Snow hotel. Take the Airport bus or a taxi to the airport. Flight to the Arctic city of Tromso (Airline Wideroe, normally aircraft Dash8-series), with individual arrival to a centrally located hotel.
Spend 2 nights in Tromso.
 

 

Arctic Gourmet Dinner at Emma's

The evening of day 4 you will enjoy Emma's famous, tiny gourmet restaurant in the centre of Tromso, with her 5 course gourmet dinner based on excellent local produce. Welcome drink included. (The restaurant is closed January 1 - 17)

Day 5 - Northern Lights adventure

You will be picked up in the centre of Tromso for an adventurous trip to the exotic wilderness of the Tamok valley. Due to the geographical location the climate is drier and colder than in Tromso, thus offering a maximum chance of seeing the amazing Northern Lights. 

 

The Northern Lights trip  includes transfers, a traditional, hot meal and social time by the open fire in the Sami tent. Also included: Insulated body suit. Warm shoes, gloves, headwear & head lamp. English speaking guide.

Day 6 - Flight Tromso-Oslo

Flight to Oslo. Overnight at an airport hotel or in the city at your choice. The tour finishes after breakfast on day 7
Some sights in Oslo: Akershus Fortress, the City Hall, the Opera building, the Aker Brygge wharf, the Edvard Munch museum, the Viking ship Museum & the Astrup Fearnley museum of contemporary art
