Day 1 - Oslo - the winter Capital

Individual arrival and check in at the centrally located, classic Bristol hotel, one block from the main Karl Johansgate street and close to the Royal Palace.

 

You can take the Airport bus directly to the hotel from the Oslo/Gardermoen airport.

 

Spend 1 night in Oslo


Oslo offers skating facilities next to the main street and excellent cross country & Alpine skiing just outside the city centre.

Day 2 - Train Oslo-Trondheim

Scenic train ride across the snow covered Dovrefjell Mountain Plateau & National Park to the historic city of Trondheim. Check in at the centrally located 4* Rica Nidelven Hotel or similar. Spend 1 night in Trondheim

Day 3 - Cruise Departure

Board the authentic Hurtigruten ship before noon and enjoy the Northern Lights/Aurora cruise along the Arctic coast of Norway to the town of Kirkenes, close to the Russian border. Spend 4 nights onboard.

 

All meals are included during the cruise (Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and 3 course dinner)

Day 4 - Crossing the Arctic Circle

Arrival to the Arctic town of Bodo at noon, with time to explore the town before the ship sails across the Vest Fjord towards the Lofoten Islands. Call at Svolvaer, the main port of the Lofoten Islands.

Day 5 - Dog sledding

Arrival to the Arctic town of Tromso late afternoon. You will be picked up at the pier for  the exciting excursion to Tromso Wilderness centre, located in the beautiful Arctic scenery outside the city. They will provide you with warm clothes for the Dog sledding trip.

Day 6 - North Cape excursion

Enjoy the exotic North Cape land excursion through Arctic winter scenery from the main port of Honningsvag, before the ship continues along Finnmark's barren coast.

Day 7 - Flight Kirkenes-Oslo

Cruise around the north and east part of the Finnmark coast and into the Bokfjord and the Arctic town of Kirkenes. Disembark after breakfast, then flight to Oslo. Spend 1 night in Oslo at the Bristol hotel or an airport hotel at your choice.

Snow mobile Safari on a frozen fjord surrounded by Arctic scenery. Coffee/tea and dried reindeer meat in a well-heated lavvo, the Sami equivalent of a tipi.
