Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo

Individual arrival and check in at a centrally located hotel. Spend 1 night in Oslo

Day 2 - Oslo-Flam-Sognefjord

Bergen line, Flam Railway & Fjord cruise. Enjoy great Norwegian train journeys - the scenic Bergen line across the Hardangervidda mountain plateau, and the famous Flam Railway, with a dramatic descend via hairpin bends through the Flam valley to the fjord village of Flam -  along with a scenic express steamer  cruise to the fjord village of Balestrand.

 

Spend 2 nights in Balestrand

Day 3 - Fjaerlandfjord Excursion

Fjord cruise on the scenic Fjaerlandsfjord branch, with connecting bus to the glacier arm of the Jostedal glacier and a visit to the interesting Glacier Museum in Fjaerland. Please note that it is not possible to walk on the glaciers- just sightseeing

Day 4 - Balestrand-Bergen

Sognefjord cruise & the Coast. Express steamer fjord cruise along the outer Sognefjord and the scenic coast line, taking you to the very heart of the picturesque Bergen harbour, with views of the UNESCO World Heritage Bryggen wharf.

Day 5 - Bergen

Full day to explore the sights of Bergen, with the old Bryggen wharf included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, the Funicular to mount Floyen - offering a marvellous view of the city & surrounding islands - the Fish Market & the authentic hillside areas with tiny, old wooden houses.

Day 6 - Train Bergen-Oslo

Morning or afternoon train across the Hardangervidda National Park to Oslo. (Flight on request: add NOK 200 per person). Spend 1 night in Oslo

 

 

 

Day 7 - Tour finish in Oslo

The tour finishes after breakfast on day 7
