Sognefjord & Glacier Excursion

Day 1 - Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo, the city of the Nobel Peace Prize. Individual check in at a centrally located hotel.

Day 2 - Oslo-Flam-Sognefjord

Flam Railway & Fjord cruise
Enjoy the scenic Bergensbanen train line from Oslo to Myrdal, taking you across the Hardangervidda mountain plateau - with the Finse station at an altitude of 1222 metres above sea level. At Myrdal you change to the famous Flam Railway, with an impressive descend through the beautiful Flam valley with wateralls & mountain peaks, to sea level and the fjord village of Flam.

In Flam you board the express steamer for the beautiful fjord cruise via the Aurlandsfjord to the main Sognefjord and the fjord village of Balestrand.
Spend 2 nights in Balestrand.

Day 3 - Fjord cruise & Glacier Excursion

Fjord cruise on the scenic Fjaerlandsfjord branch, with connecting bus to the glacier arm of the Jostedal glacier and a visit to the interesting Glacier Museum in Fjaerland. Please note that it is not possible to walk on the glacier - just sightseeing

Day 4 - Balestrand-Sognefjord-Bergen

Sognefjord cruise & the Coast
Express steamer fjord cruise along the outer Sognefjord and the scenic coast line, taking you to the very heart of the picturesque Bergen harbour, with views of the UNESCO World Heritage Bryggen wharf. Individual check in at a centrally located hotel. Spend 1 night in Bergen.

The tour ends after breakfast on day 5.
