Oslo-Kirkenes-Bergen Cruise package, 8 nights

With an amazing cruise from Kirkenes to Bergen, Arctic highlights such as the Lofoten Islands & the beautiful Helgeland coast, with overnight stays in the Norwegian capital Oslo & the picturesque coastal city of Bergen.

Optional: You can add exciting Shore excursions en route, such as Breakfast at the North Cape, Midnight concert in Tromso, hiking trips, coach trip across the Lofoten Islands, sightseeing in Trondheim and the Atlantic Ocean Road.

Day 1 - Overnight in Oslo

Individual arrival to Oslo. Check in at a centrally located 4* hotel.
Spend 1 night in Oslo.

The Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking ship museum, the Fram Polar ship museum, the Edvard Munch museum, the National Gallery, the Holmenkollen Ski jump & museum

Day 2 - Flight Oslo-Kirkenes

Morning flight to the Arctic town of Kirkenes, appr 2 hours. Individual arrival to a centrally located hotel.
Spend 1 night in Kirkenes.

Day 3 - Cruise departure

Embark the authentic Hurtigruten ship before noon. Cruise via Vardo, Norway's easternmost town, with the enchanting Vardohus Fortress before the ship continues along the Varanger peninsula with a late evening arrival at Batsfjord.
Spend 5 nights onboard.

All meals are included during the cruise; buffet breakfast, buffet lunch with hot and cold dishes & 3 course dinner (food only). Free seating for breakfast & lunch, set table for the dinner. There is no dress code onboard.

Day 4 - Cruise & Tromso

The ship passes the North Cape plateau. Cruise via Hammerfest, across Soroysund to Oksfjord. The course is set via Lopphavet open sea and the ship finds quiet waters towards Skjervoy and Tromso.

Day 5 - Cruise Lofoten Islands

Through the narrow Risoyrenna channel after leaving Harstad. Stokmarknes with the Hurtigruten Museum and then on to Vesteralen and Lofoten. Depending on the weather conditions, the ship will take a detour to the narrow, dramatic Trollfjord.

Day 6 - Cruise Helgeland coast

Make sure to get up early for the call at Ornes, surrounded by spectacular Arctic scenery. After leaving Ornes you will see the majestic Svartisen glacier if the weather is clear

The ship sails along the beautiful Helgeland Coast with the Seven Sisters mountain range and beautiful islands. After the call at Bronnoysund the ship passes the Torghatten mountain peak with the spectacular hole - one of nature's wonders

Day 7 - Cruise & Trondheim

The historic island of Munkholmen leads the way to Trondheim. You will have a few hours in the morning to visit this historic town, with the medieval Nidaros Cathedral (Norway's only cathedral), the old bridge "Gamle bybro" crossing the scenic Nidelven river with the old wooden wharf houses. In Trondheim you will also find several authentic areas with tiny, wooden houses, like Bakklandet

After leaving Trondheim the ship passes the beautiful island of Hitra and the open sea of Hustadvika before short calls at the coastal towns of Kristiansund, Molde & Alesund

Day 8 - Cruise arrival to Bergen

Magnificent West Norway scenery with mouths of fjords and a lush, beautiful archipelago, including the island kingdom of Oygarden, before the ship approaches the picturesque Hanseatic city of Bergen. Arrival at 14:30.

 

Spend 1 night in Bergen in a centrally located 4* hotel.

The tour finishes after breakfast on day 9
Optional: add a 3 hour fjord cruise from Bergen to Mostraumen & an additional night in Bergen
